Article excerpt

Matthew Bender & Company, Inc., now part of LEXIS Publishing and a publisher of legal analysis and research information, has announced the release of the New York Consolidated Laws Service (CLS) to complete the Authority New York Law and Practice Library.

According to the announcement, CLS is the premier annotated state code service available to New York attorneys, providing comprehensive, annotated coverage of all the consolidated laws of New York, the constitutions of the U.S. and New York, selected unconsolidated laws, and all major court acts and rules. CLS meets virtually any drafting need and contains more than 13,000 forms that are integrated with the statutory text.

CLS on Authority provides the final piece of an integrated New York research system-annotated statutes, cases, forms, SHEPARD's citations, and leading New York practice guides and treatises. With links to the full text of cases and essential treatise material like Weinstein, Korn & Miller's New York Civil Practice: CPLR, CLS on Authority saves time and money by eliminating multiple searches and allows for more thorough research, according to the announcement.

The New York Consolidated Laws Service, together with a comprehensive collection of New York case law, is available as part of The New York Primary Law Library and will be updated quarterly. …
