Information Today, Inc. Launches NewsLink, a Free E-Newsletter, Releases Book That Profiles 'Scout Sites'
Information Today, Inc. (ITI) has announced the launch of NewsLink, a free e-newsletter for the library and information professions. The company has also announced the release of a new book entitled Great Scouts! CyberGuides for Subject Searching on the Web, written by Nora Paul and Margot Williams.
According to the announcement, NewsLink is designed to highlight the information that both users and producers of information products and services need to do their jobs as effectively as possible. Within each issue, the monthly e-newsletter furnishes subscribers with a variety of information on the library and information industries, including the following:

According to the announcement, Great Scouts! CyberGuides for Subject Searching on the Web profiles the best of the Internet's "scout sites"-Web sites that provide access to the most important online sources of information on specific subjects. Scout sites act as Web directories, offering researchers an alternative to search engines by providing organized collections of links to the most appropriate and useful Web sites for a given topic.
