Tom Hogan, president of Learned Information, Inc. of Medford, New Jersey, has appointed Marydee Ojala to the post of editor of Marketing Library Services.

Published specifically for librarians, Marketing Library Services (MLS) is a marketing and management newsletter which provides valuable "how-to" information about effective marketing tactics and techniques for today's libraries and information centers.

MLS covers numerous examples of effective positioning strategies, budget approaches, and names of other professionals who faced the same challenges and met them successfully. Based primarily on actual case histories, MLS examines how other colleagues developed charge-back strategies, expanded their services, and successfully developed a department when budgets were tight and competition increased. Ms. Ojala holds a bachelor's degree from Brown University, an M.L.S. from the University of Pittsburgh, and has also done graduate work in Business Administration at Golden Gate University. Along with her academic credentials, Ojala has over twenty years of library experience in both the corporate and academic arenas, namely the Bank of America, Stanford University, and West Virginia University.
