McGraw-Hill, Inc., a leader in traditional publishing, has reinforced its commitment to electronic publishing, announcing its Internet catalog. With over 8,800 products listed online and a number of CD-ROMs and electronic products slated for 1995, McGraw-Hill's electronic publishing program expects exponential growth in the coming months.

McGraw-Hill's electronic publishing program, structured within existing Professional Publishing group business units, put out its first CD-ROMs and electronic products in 1987. Recent releases include the McGraw-Hill Multimedia Encyclopedia of Science and Technology and the DRI/McGraw-Hill Encyclopedia of World Economies on CD-ROM.

Internet Catalog

The catalog, McGraw-Hill Titlebank, contains the complete list of publications from the Professional Book Group (including Osborne Books, TAB, and the International Group), the Medical/Healthcare Group, and the full range of titles from McGraw-Hill's College Division.

The online McGraw-Hill Titlebank catalog gives browsers immediate access to thousands of titles on subjects as diverse as architecture, aviation, business management and economics, computing, engineering, humanities and social sciences, medicine, nursing, dentistry and allied health, and physical and biological sciences. These broad disciplines are further defined within the catalog structure.

A search system, developed by Inforonics Inc., allows visitors to search for publications via author, title keyword and/or ISBN, or keyword within the document. Results display the description and complete table of contents, in addition to basic bibliographic information.

McGraw-Hill's marketing and distribution relationships continue to expand with the Online Bookstore, the Internet Bookstore, Prodigy, CompuServe, and America Online.
