CSA to Publish Physical Education Index

Cambridge Scientific Abstracts (CSA) has acquired the publishing rights to Physical Education Index, effective April 2000. CSA will continue to publish the print publication and plans to make a database version available through its Internet Database Service (IDS) sometime in 2001.

Since its inception over 20 years ago, Physical Education Index has become a leading research source for information across a wide range of physical-education-related subjects, including dance, health, physical education, physical therapy, recreation, sports, and sports medicine. The index also provides coverage of biomechanics/kinesiology, coaching, facilities, measurement-- evaluation, motor learning, perception, physical fitness, research, sports psychology, sports sociology, teaching methods, training, and all sports activities.

"We're thrilled to add this title to the distinguished list of journals we already publish," said CSA president Matt Dunie. "We remain committed to serving current subscribers of Physical Education Index. The electronic version on IDS will also be a terrific complement to our current collection of research databases."
