DR. PAUL M. ASIM is the new dean of the social and behavioral sciences division at Orange Coast College in California. Previously he was associate dean of general education programs at DeVry University. Asim earned a bachelor's and a master's from Gordon College in Rawalpindi, Pakistan, a second master's from Azusa Pacific University and a doctorate from Claremont Graduate University.

DR. WILLIAM "BILL" MAXWELL joined the Stillman College faculty as a Scholar-in-Residence. He earned a bachelor's from Bethune-Cookman College and master's and doctoral degrees from the University of Chicago. Maxwell is an editorial writer for the St. Petersburg Times in Florida and an internationally syndicated columnist.

DR. PEDRO NOGUERA is the new executive director of the Metropolitan Center for Urban Education at New York University. Before arriving at NYU, he was the Judith K. Dimon Professor of Communities and Schools at the Harvard Graduate School of Education. Noguera earned bachelor's and master's degrees from Brown University and a doctorate from the University of California-Berkeley.

DANNY SLEDGE has been named dean of student services at Lake Michigan College in Benton. …
