Administration Division Makes Changes to Include More Members

As VP of the ACTE Administration Division, I am your representative on the Board of Directors. Our division is made up of more than 5,000 members and has three affiliated organizations: The National Council of Local Administrators (NCLA), National Association of Large City Directors of Vocational Education (NALCATE), and Vocational Education Equity Council (VEEC). The largest number of members in the division do not join any of the three affiliated organizations.

In the past, these three organizations have made up the division's policy committee that sets policy and does planning for the division. At last year's annual business meeting, we changed the bylaws to have representation from the above affiliations plus five members that represent the regions as defined by ACTE. It is my hope that by reconstructing the policy committee, we can get those members to take a more active part in their division. The division cannot grow in its service without your commitment to being an active member and taking an active part in its business and planning. …
