CAE Designation Boosts Pride for Three NACM Affiliate Managers

Donald R. Mosher, CAE, is the chief operating officer for the NACM North Central Corporation, Minneapolis and serves on the Credit Research Foundation's Board of Trustees. He has also been involved with the International Petroleum Credit Association and the National Suppliers to Food Processors Credit Group.

"The wisdom of knowing what is important and where to use it has been amplified by the network of CAEs within the American Society of Association Executives," Mosher said. "Being a CAE helps open doors and others seem more willing to share with a professional." In addition, passing the extensive eight-hour technical exam gave Mosher a "boost in self-confidence and an added sense of pride."

Richard Kaufman, CAE has served as president of the Credit Managers Association of California since 1984. In addition to working on numerous NACM committees, Kaufman was a member of the Board of Directors from 1988 to 1993 and is currently the affiliates' representative on the Centennial Committee planning the observance of NACM's 100th anniversary for 1996.

Kaufman indicated that his CAE certification has helped him in several ways. The designation has brought respect from peers, recognition within the Board of Directors and others; and he gained valuable information while earning the certification. …
