INDIANAPOLIS - The Society of Professional Journalists recently launched a membership campaign to gain institutional members.

The campaign encourages college and professional media organizations to join the Society as an institution, which benefits all employees of the organization.

Major benefits of institutional membership include:

* A 10-percent membership dues discount for employees of the organization

* A 15-percent advertising discount in Quill magazine (includes awards/fellowships/internships/scholarships advertising sections published in the fall)

* A subscription to Quill

* Recognition of each institutional member organization in all issues of Quill

* One complimentary registration to SPJ's annual national convention

* Recognition in the annual national convention's pocket program, which is distributed to every attendee

* A display copy of the SPJ Code of Ethics
