For all the words of moral outrage, little has been done by the international community to end the murder, rape, and pillage of the people of Darfur. The United States should join with other Western countries to enforce an arms embargo, prohibit international travel by members of the government and the economic elite of the Sudan, and send in military units to arrest leadership implicated in the genocide and deliver them to the International Criminal Court in the Hague. Second step: provide reparations and protections so that Darfurians are able to go home and remain there in safety.

That would be a far better use of our military than war in Iraq. Most Americans have no comprehension of the devastation being wrought by the ongoing Occupation of Iraq by U.S. forces. The leveling of cities in order to save them from the insurgents will continue until the troops are brought home. …
