DR. DARYL J. GROSS has been named director of athletics at Syracuse University. He previously served as senior associate athletic director at the University of Southern California (USC). He earned a bachelor's from the University of California at Davis and both a master's and doctorate from USC.

DR. SAM HILL has been named provost of Northern Virginia Community College's Woodbridge campus. Previously he was vice president for instruction and student services at Kankakee Community College in Illinois. Hill received a bachelor's from St. Edwards University, a master's from Gallaudet University and a doctorate from Texas Tech University.

WILLIE JEFFRIES has been named athletics director at Grambling State University in Louisiana. He served as head football coach at South Carolina State University in the 1970s. Most recently he was the school's director of athletic fund raising since his retirement in 2001. Jeffries earned a bachelor's from South Carolina State.

CHERYL R. KERISON has been named associate professor of multicultural education in the division of education at Quinnipiac University in Connecticut. Previously Kerison was the elementary and middle school gifted resource teacher for the Milford public school system. …
