Now that we've finished exchanging all the gifts from people who obviously don't know and understand us, it's time to settle in for the long winter months. Gone are the days when we could be satisfied with a crackling fire, some warm cocoa, and a copy of Carl Sagan's latest. We are in the interactive era, and we require a CD-ROM player to get us through until the thaw. Here is some help: a list of the best CD-ROMs for science mavens.
