"Rettig on Reference," a review service by awarding-winning reference columnist James Rettig, now joins other attractions at Wilson Web (http: //www.hwwilson.com), the new H.W. Wilson World Wide Web site. Rettig wrote the popular "Current Reference Books" review column in Wilson Library Bulletin from 1981 through June 1995 and holds a 1995 American Library Association (ALA) Louis Shores/Orynx Press Award for distinguished contributions as a reviewer. Rettig is also editor of Distinguished Classics of Reference Publishing, which won a 1993 ALA G.K. Hall Award for library literature.

Each month, "Rettig on Reference" will feature about a dozen reviews on Wilson Web. Rettig will examine and analyze both new print reference materials and World Wide Web reference sites. Reviews will be linked over the Web to publishers' Web sites, when available, as well as to other locations relevant to the review and subject matter. An index of reviews by reference author and title will also be accessible at Wilson Web, as well as back reviews.
