Many students entering college have high hopes of meeting individuals of common interests. One of the best ways to do this outside of dorm assignments and the normal classroom setting is to join some sort of club. Universities will always have various options, and whether it's related to athletics or hobbies, there is always something that will appeal to the common or uncommon student.

For those of us studying to join the park and recreation field, we seek to combine our major's professional opportunities with a balance of some fun and positive social activities. After all, our future of recreation is exciting, and we like to transform the word "work" or "employment" into fun.

If there isn't a recreation club already established at your university, the possibility of forming one is within reach. While undergraduate students at Pennsylvania State University, a few motivated students and faculty had high hopes of establishing a highly productive recreation club that would be enticing for not only recreation students to join, but open to any student interested. …
