PLS Search Engine for IBM infoMarket

IBM has announced the Personal Library Software Inc. (PLS) as the search engine for information being hosted by its new Internet-based service, IBM infoMarket. IBM infoMarket is an online marketplace for digital content that allows users to find, with one search, information that may reside on many different servers in various locations.

To bring more publishers into the world of Internet publishing, IBM infoMarket will host their databases for them and use the PLS search engine to store, index, and retrieve all such information hosted on the IBM infoMarket service for these content providers.

IBM infoMarket and PLS also have entered into a marketing relationship where PLS will work with its publicizing customers to help make their information available on the IBM infoMarket service. PLS has developed an interface that will allow any organization using the PLS Web search server, PL Web, to sell its content on the Internet through the IBM infoMarket service.
