Wars must be fought strategically to be successful. First, the enemy must be carefully and fully evaluated.

Their strength must be determined as well as their weakness. The combatants must also assess their strengths and weaknesses.

We NAACPERS understand and know well the battles that our ancestors waged over the past 500 years here in the United States of America to gain our freedom from slavery and segregation. We suffered many losses on these battlefields.

Hundreds of our foremothers and forefathers were killed and beaten unmercifully. Children were snatched from their mother's breast. Men and women who would not succumb to slavery were hung by their necks as food for the crows.

When legalized slavery ended, separate and very unequal access to full citizenship followed. It took decades to end this legalized discrimination.

Yet it still lingers de facto today.

The gross disparity in income and job opportunities continues. …
