'Cinderella', 'Insurgent', 'Home' in Box Office Showdown

Cinderella, Disney's latest version of the timeless classic, looks to be the slight favourite heading into a big third weekend.

The Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures International release stands at $146.6m internationally and has debuts set for the UK, Australia, France, Brazil and Spain.

Insurgent will push it hard and has amassed approximately $68m through Thursday via Lionsgate International.

The YA adaptation starring Shailene Woodley, Theo James and Kate Winslet should cross $100m by Sunday and arrives in five new markets, among them South Korea via Joyncontents Group.

By last weekend the second entry in the franchise had amassed more than $6m in France, more than $4.4m in the UK, more than $4.2m in Brazil and more than $3.7m in both Mexico and CIS.

Disney's Oscar winner Big Hero 6 stands at $425.9m while Into The Woods has reached $73.1m.

DreamWorks Animation's Home will look to build on last weekend's opening salvo as it rolls into a further 55 markets via Fox International.

Highlights are expected from Germany, Mexico, Italy and Argentina and the early running total has reached $25. …
