Welcome back CTE Journal readers! This is our last installment of this publication year and my last as your Field Editor, It is with bittersweet emotion that I bid our fantastic journal goodbye, My family has undergone a lot of changes over the last year, and it has gotten harder for me to continue on with my duties as Field Editor, I am happy to share that I leave you in the very capable and creative hands of Virginia Jones and Thomas Roberts, both of whom are regular contributors to the journal,

Over the last few years, I have not only seen our journal grow in readership, I have seen it shape classrooms, I have had conversations with teachers who say they love to bring our ideas into their classrooms, They have loved learning about technological literacy and want their students to experience STEM in their everyday lessons, This impact is what we as a journal hope to achieve! As a contributor, reader, and Field Editor, it has been an absolute pleasure to work with the amazing ITEEA staff to bring this journal to you every quarter, and I thank you for your kind words and continuous contributions of articles, ideas, suggestions, and readership,

For our final look at Standards for Technological Literacy (STL), we will focus on the designed world, In this issue, our articles will look at various aspects of how technology and engineering play out in the real world, Oftentimes, engineering can be seen as a very abstract concept; however, without its application, many of the products and services we utilize every day would not be available, The STL standards provide insight into various technologies that include medical, biotech, agriculture, energy and power, information and communication, transportation, manufacturing, and construction technologies, Students should have many opportunities to learn how, through engineering and technological design, we can produce the items we use in the designed world,

The designed world is something to marvel at! …
