La La Land director Damien Chazelle’s musical TV series The Eddy is heading to Netflix.

The eight-episode series, previously announced back in April, will premiere exclusively on the streaming platform.

The Eddy is set in contemporary multicultural Paris and revolves around a club, its owner, the house band, and the city that surrounds them.

Executive producer Chazelle will direct two episodes of the IMG project, which is written by five-time Bafta Award-winner Jack Thorne.

Emmy-winning producer Alan Poul (Six Feet Under, The Newsroom), will also serve as executive producer, and original music will be written by six-time Grammy Award-winner Glen Ballard (Alanis Morissette’s Jagged Little Pill, Michael Jackson’s Bad). …
