OREGON: STATE ENACTS PREDICTABLE-SCHEDULING LAW

Certain large employers in Oregon must comply with the first statewide predictable-scheduling law by providing workers with advance notice of their work schedules and time to rest between shifts. Most provisions will take effect in July 2018-though some will be phased in later. The new legislation will cover nonexempt employees working for retail, hospitality and food service businesses with 500 or more workers worldwide. Some U.S. cities- such as Seattle and San Francisco - have already enacted similar statutes.

DELAWARE: DATA BREACH LAWS STRENGTHENED
