JOHN B. KING JR. has been appointed visiting professor at the University of Maryland College of Education. He is president and CEO of The Education Trust and previously served as the 10th U.S. Secretary of Education. King earned a bachelor's degree from Harvard University, a J.D. from Yale Law School and a master's degree and Ed.D. from Teachers College at Columbia University.

JOHNNETTA B. COLE has been named senior consulting fellow at the Andrew W Mellon Foundation. She is president emerita of Spelman College and Bennett College and former director of the Smithsonian National Museum of African Art. Cole earned a bachelor's degree from Oberlin College and a master's degree and Ph.D. from Northwestern University.

ISIAH BROWN has been named inaugural Diversity and Inclusion Fellow at SUNY Oswego. He is currently a visiting assistant professor of management in the School of Business. Brown earned bachelor's and master's degrees from Savannah State University and a Ph.D. from Florida A&M University.

KALANI CRAIG has been appointed codirector of the Institute for Digital Arts and Humanities at Indiana University in Bloomington. She is also an assistant professor in the department of history. Craig earned a bachelors degree from Scripps College, a masters degree from Portland State University and a Ph.D. from Indiana University.

JIM HEATH has been named director of sports information at Hampton University. He was previously the assistant sports information director since August 2016. …
