Support Sculpture and Sculptors-2017 Annual Appeal

Each year, I have this moment to reflect on all that we have achieved over the previous 12 months. It is impossible to collect everything here, but I hope to capture the excitement and energy of 2017 at the ISC.

This year, we honored Lynda Benglis and Tony Cragg with the Lifetime Achievement Award. A record number of past recipients were at the gala to celebrate, along with collectors, gallerists, and longtime friends of the artists and the ISC. At the other end of the career spectrum, we recognized new excellence from 15 promising students and recent graduates and introduced a new residency in collaboration with Grounds For Sculpture for two winners of the Outstanding Student Achievement in Contemporary Sculpture awards.

We have continued to increase our residency and exhibition opportunities for members, on-line and around the U.S. With the expansion of our Web site, we can now offer even more visibility for ISC members. And, of course, our annual conference provides important opportunities to meet with peers and colleagues to discuss relevant topics in the field and to discover the art scene in new locations. Kansas City surprised and enthralled everyone in October this year. …
