Claus Ladegaard upped to CEO.

The Danish Film Institute (DFI) has appointed Claus Ladegaard as its new CEO.

He replaces Henrik Bo Nielsen, who stepped down in the summer after occupying the role for 10 years.

Ladegaard has been with the institute since 2006, initially as head of production and development. Since 2015 he has been in the role of head of film funding.

During his time in his current position, the DFI says he has overhauled the organisation’s funding system.

Recent projects backed by the DFI include Borg Vs McEnroe, which opened this year’s Toronto International Film Festival, and Nicolas Winding Refn features The Neon Demon and Only God Forgives. …
