Award-winning singer-songwriter Amelia Curran's fourth album, Watershed, takes on the topic of mental illness. It would have been easy for the artist to be heavy-handed and to have created a "preaching to the choir" downer of an album. Instead, Watershed is a decidedly upbeat 10-song collection

Reminiscent of Shawn Colvin's best work, Curran's songs are as catchy as they are sophisticated. Straddling pop, folk and country, Curran writes songs that are instantly memorable and often profound. The dominant theme on Watershed is awareness and acceptance of mental health issues, passions for the St John's, Newfoundland and Labrador native who founded the advocacy group It's Mental.
