Hello, my name is Louis A. Quinones, Jr. I have been in the field of corrections for over 29 years, and have been employed with four large agencies in two States within this timeframe. I am currently serving as the Deputy Chief of Operational Services at Orange County Corrections in Orlando, Florida.

* I decided to enter the field of corrections and make it my career because... I was looking for a job with a good salary and benefits to support my family. As time went on, I began to learn more about the field of corrections and the importance of being a public servant. I enjoyed the impact I was making and decided to turn this job into a lifelong career.

* The most unusual job I've ever had was. Working in a mall as Santa Claus.

* I felt it was important to be a member of AJA and serve on the Board and Commission because. I not only wanted to work in the field of corrections, but I also wanted to be able to have a voice.

* The hardest thing I've ever done is. Overcome my fear of heights. Several years ago, my wife talked me into getting on a zip line while we were on vacation in Jamaica. It was awesome, and I take every opportunity to zip line wherever I may be.

* My favorite way to relax is. Anything to do with water. Specifically, sitting in a pool listening to the sound of the water, and sipping on a tropical adult beverage.

* My favorite meal is. Pernil arroz con gandules y platano muduros (roast pork, rice and beans, and sweet plantains.)

* One item from my personal "bucket list" is to. …
