With this issue, we wanted to give our readers ringside seats to the highly competitive fight for 21st Century Fox between two of the media world's most influential giants.

As of this writing, Disney had not formally come back to the mat to potentially knock out Comcast, which boasts the highest bid on the table with a whopping $65 billion allcash deal for Fox's key assets, including the studio, FX Networks, National Geographic Partners, stakes in Hulu and Sky and control of Star India.

We decided to focus our cover image and story on the two individuals at the center of Hollywood and Wall Street's most closely watched match: Brian Roberts and Bob Iger. These CEOs are the politer, more polished versions of their sharp-elbowed, ruthless media-titan equivalents Sumner Redstone and Rupert Murdoch.
