The US-China Poetry Dialogue is a new collaboration between the University of Oklahoma, Beijing University, and the Mark Allen Everett Poetry Series. The first celebration of the Dialogue was held in November 2017. Subsequent celebrations will be held on odd-numbered years, when poets and poetry critics from China will travel to the United States to meet with US poets from around the country to discuss the state of poetry, literature, and art in the United States and China as well as the role the arts play in cross-cultural understanding.

The 2017 participants included poets Xi Chuan ..., Hank Lazer, Mei-mei Berssenbrugge, critics Arthur Sze, Stephen Fredman, Denis Mair, and Wang Guangming .., and moderator Jonathan Stalling. Over the period of a week, the poets and critics traveled regionally, giving poetry readings and engaging audiences in public conversations at bookstores, schools, colleges, and museums, such as the Fred Jones Jr. …
