My parents sent me [from Cuba] to the U.S. at the beginning of the Castro takeover. They sent me with my brother (we were 12 and 17) in the pursuit of freedom. When I said to President Trump at a roundtable discussion last April [2018] that every Cuban has a story, it is because we experienced the alternative.

The organizations I participate in, they were my bank's customers and asked me to join. I could not say no. From my bankers' perspective, I help in the oversight of their financial goals and objectives, and gathering funds for some of their expenditures.
