Heather Bambrick wears several hats and the one labeled "Jazz singer" is the one we will consider here. She is also a broadcaster for FM91, Canada's only all jazz radio station, educator and voice over for several animated programs for PBS, NBC and Disney. Ms. Bambrick hails from Newfoundland but moved to Toronto in 1993 where she received a BA degree in voice from the University of Toronto. Her resume' would include but not limited to Phil Nimmons, Fred Hersch, Rob McConnell and Anne Hampton Callaway.

The supporting cast, all Canadians, would consist of first call players in the Toronto area. Guido Basso is the best known. He has worked with many musicians outside of his home town and they would include Woody Herman, Benny Goodman, Count Basie and Duke Ellington to name a few. Chase Sanborn is a Berklee College of Music graduate. Chase, like several other players on this disc, is on the faculty of the University of Toronto. …
