Following is a list of arrests and crimes reported by Beaches area police departments:


-- A man reported April 8 that his girlfriend bit him and hit him in the head with a pair of pliers at his home in the first block of West 11th Street after she used cocaine.

The woman also said the man had pushed her out of a car during an argument and drove over her hand.

-- An employee at Atlantic Moto Sports, 1400 Mayport Road, reported April 8 that someone stole a 1988 Jeep Wrangler from the lot.

-- Police arrested a woman Wednesday and charged her with possession of an open container of alcohol, resisting an officer and possession of narcotics after an officer saw her carrying an open bottle of wine through Donner Community Park, 2000 George St.

Police also found a pill bottle with two Xanax-type pills. Police said the woman was hog-tied in the patrol car after she kicked the Plexiglas partition.

-- Police arrested a man Friday and charged him with possession of marijuana and driving a vehicle in unsafe operating condition after an officer stopped him in the 400 block of Sailfish Drive for driving without brake lights.

Inside the car, police found a plastic bag with 118 grams of marijuana, two used marijuana cigarettes and a marijuana cigarette on the floorboard. The man also had $1,618.


-- A woman reported Friday that a man punched her in the face and arm as he snatched a prescription bottle that fell from her purse outside the Lil' Champ at 1310 Third St. S.

The woman said the man asked her if she had change for a dollar as she was walking into the store. The bottle fell from her purse as she reached inside it and they struggled over the pill bottle on the ground.

-- A man told police Saturday that he was attacked and beaten in the restroom at Burger King at 265 Fifth Ave. N. He was treated at Baptist Medical Center-Beaches for a concussion.

The man said two men approached him and asked him for gas money and stole his wallet.

-- An employee at A&A Watersports at 2327 Beach Blvd. reported Saturday that a boat motor worth about $5,300 was stolen from the warehouse. …
