Newcastle boss Sir Bobby Robson will not lose faith with his players as they attempt to bounce back from their mauling by Manchester United.

The Magpies were still very firmly in the race for the Premiership title until the 6-2 debacle at St James' Park last Saturday.

But they head into tomorrow's trip to free-falling Fulham still sitting third in the table and within touching distance of another Champions' League adventure.

Robson said: "Our players have given us a good season. But it will be up to them, their attitude and the way they're going to live their lives, and their ambition and their motivation.

"I've said to them, 'What are you going to do? Are you going to blow it or are you going to build on it?'.

"I think the answer is yes, we'll be all right."

The Magpies will be without Jermaine Jenas, Gary Speed and Laurent Robert though skipper Alan Shearer hopes to play despite a fractured knuckle.

Manchester United entertain Blackburn at Old Trafford with boss Sir Alex Ferguson having to decide whether to bring back David Beckham or continue with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer. …
