The recent "coin" refusal letter reminded me of a recent incident when my two grandchildren went to the village shop/ post office with around pounds 7 in 2p and 1p coins. We had saved for them for months.

Despite the fact that it was almost closing time on a Saturday and they only wanted a drink of orange each and the remaining money changed into cash they could share, there was no problem. Nice people, much appreciated.
