JOHN LESLIE SEX CHARGES; TV Presenter Named in Ulrika Case Is Accused of Two Assaults

TV PRESENTER John Leslie was dramatically charged with indecent assault today.

In an astonishing development, Scotland Yard announced it is pressing ahead with a prosecution against Leslie.

The 38-year-old former host of This Morning arrived at Forest Gate police station in east London flanked by two bodyguards at 11.20am looking relaxed and smiling after an hour-long drive across the capital from his [pounds sterling]2 million home in Sheen.

But in a statement released at 12.30pm Scotland Yard said it was charging Leslie with two counts of indecent assault.

The decision means he will not face more serious charges of rape or sexual assault.

The Crown Prosecution Service formally told detectives on Monday there was no evidence to bring charges of rape against Leslie.

The case was investigated by the Yard's elite Special Inquiry Team, the squad which investigated royal butler Paul Burrell. …
