LADIES SOCIAL

River of Praise Worship Center, formerly Yulee Church of God, will have a ladies social July 12 at the church, 2811 St. Mark Drive in Yulee.

The social begins at 8:30 a.m. with a continental breakfast in the fellowship hall. Praise and worship will be at 9 and 10:45 a.m. Guest speakers Jennifer Beckham and Candy Taylor will make presentations at 9:30 and 11:15 a.m., respectively.

There is no fee to attend the social, but the church will accept a love offering.

SPECIAL SUNDAY SCHOOL

The second Sidewalk Sunday School at Ewing Park in Callahan will be from 10 a.m. to noon each Tuesday through July 15.

Bible stories, music, art, games and refreshments will be featured. Sidewalk Sunday School is a free children's event sponsored by the Callahan Evangelistic Center Church.

HEALING SERVICE

A healing service will be at 6:30 p.m. Aug. 10 at Memorial United Methodist Church, 601 Centre St. in Fernandina Beach.

Anyone coming forward will be prayed over and anointed with oil by the Rev. Bruce Jones. The community is welcome. For information, call the church office at 261-5769.

TUTORING PROGRAM

New Bethel AME Church in Callahan offers a student tutoring program at 6 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays at the church on Page Street. For details, call Connie Arline at 879-2803.

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED

The East Nassau Ministerial Association, in partnership with the Nassau County Council on Aging, is seeking volunteers for the Family Caregiver Program.

Volunteers will receive training to provide a break of up to four hours for people acting as full-time caregivers for an ill loved one in Nassau County.
