HONORS/AWARDS

-- The Hoffman Agency received three awards in The Communicator Awards 2003 Print Media national competition: a Crystal Award of Excellence for The Tomahawk, the official magazine of Alpha Sigma Phi fraternity; an Award of Distinction for the Citibank Merchant Services direct mail program; and an honorable mention for a newspaper ad created for The St. Johns River Water Management District.

-- According to directors surveyed in Corporate Board Member magazine's annual Legal Industry Research Study, which identifies the top five corporate law firms in 50 major metropolitan areas, Rogers Towers is the No. 1 corporate law firm in Jacksonville for 2003; directors surveyed serve on boards of publicly traded companies listed with the NASDAQ Stock Market, the New York Stock Exchange or the American Stock Exchange.

-- Chambers USA: America's Leading Business Lawyers 2003-2004: Client's Guide ranks Foley & Lardner's Jacksonville office third statewide in the corporate/mergers and acquisitions category-- the highest among Jacksonville firms-- and fourth in the employment and labor category.

-- Easy Edit Video, a video duplication and production company, marked its 10th anniversary in Jacksonville on July 6. The company is owned by David Zuckerman.

-- Ameritape Inc., an electrical insulation tape supplier, recieved a 2003 Automated Best Value System bronze medal from the Department of Defense Supply Center in Richmond, Va.

-- Lisa Braren and Trista Wallace, members of the Florida Public Relations Association Jacksonville chapter, have earned the Accredited in Public Relations designation administered by the Universal Accreditation board.

CONTRACTS

-- Jacksonville-based Summit Contractors Inc. has been awarded the construction contract for the 17-building, 272-unit Woodland Lake Apartments in Orlando; expected date of project completion is August 2004.

-- Auld & White Constructors received the construction contract for the 4,200-square-foot Peoples First Community Bank to be at Kernan Road and Beach Blvd.

DONATIONS

-- The Ramallah American Club of Jacksonville donated $10,000, proceeds from its Charity Golf Classic in April, to Children's Miracle Network of Northeast Florida and Southeast Georgia; the funds will benefit the pediatric programs at Shands Jacksonville and Wolfson Children's Hospital.

-- Ross & Hardies, previously a Chicago-based law firm, has merged with the law firm of McGuire Woods LLP.
