Bollin Eric

difficult to fancy as a potential winner in this sort of company, but could run a big race judged on his neck second to Indian Creek over course and distance in the Hardwicke Stakes at the Royal meeting. Has been badly hampered by a 5lb penalty for winning the St Leger all season, but he won't have to carry it this time. Rating (out of 10): 6

FALBRAV

Looked a top-class act when producing an exhilarating burst of pace to destroy his rivals in the Coral-Eclipse Stakes at Sandown, where he got the run of the race while main opponent Nayef was enduring a rough ride. A serious contender, although astute trainer has warned he might not be so effective over the extra two furlongs. 7

IZDIHAM

LEADERSHIP

Winner of a Listed race at Windsor in June and stepped up considerably on that to take the Group One Gran Premio di Milano, beating Warrsan. Not one of the big names but appears to be still on the upgrade and no knowing how far he might go. This is a much stronger race, however. 6

MILLENARY

As good as ever at the age of six and won the Princess Of Wales's Stakes emphatically at Newmarket last time out. Victory would cap Pat Eddery's farewell season in glorious fashion, but needs a bit of cut to show his best and has never suggested he is quite up to winning a race as hot as this. 4

NAYEF

Tough and consistent five-year-old who warrants serious respect as a multiple Group One winner. …
