Luckless Chris Burns is still to finish a race five months into the MotoGP season following his latest set-back in Czech Republic.

The North Walbottle rider's hopes of making the finish line were dashed 13 laps into the race at Brno through a loss of power on his out-dated two-stroke Honda.

Burns, whose team's new prototype was banned by the FIM leaving Harris WCM no choice but to run with a two-stroke until new engine casings can be manufactured, is also not yet fully recovered from a broken collarbone.

His teammate David De Gea failed to even start the Czech GP, with his bike blowing up in the warm-up on Sunday.

Burns said: "I am yet to finish a GP and I pulled into the garage after nine laps after the bike lost power lap after lap.

"We put in new pistons in the morning so the bike would be stronger for the race but I just got slower and slower each lap.

"The bike was worse then ever, unbelievably slow. …
