I went into a diabetic faint in Northumberland Street on Monday afternoon. Before I passed out it was nice to see so many people offering their help. I must thank the lady from one of the shops who looked after me. I am very grateful to all the staff in the General Hospital for the care they gave me. Thank you all.

Isn't it about time that the playing fields on the Tyne Tunnel Trading Estate were fenced off altogether? There's been two deaths in the past year with children/teenagers using the short cuts across to Howdon across these playing fields. Something must be done.

I was reading Kathy Secker's column and I just wonder what makes her think that the people in the North East require a president. So the Prime Minister is now presidential, he wasn't voted a president he was voted a Prime Minister, we don't need a president we have a Queen.
