I am looking for a leather jacket, quite casual, to wear with jeans. I am only 5ft 2in and a size 10.

Right now, you ought to be thinking about PVC rather than leather. It's much hotter and I'm not just talking about what it will feel like on a crowded Tube. PVC is all over the place this autumn and this time it's not even pretending to look like leather. The most fashionable PVC is super-shiny and makes you look as if you've been Mr Sheened.

I am married to a Scot and we have both been invited to his school reunion in Scotland. Do I dare wear a kilt?

Unless it's really authentic, it could be a bit like trying to pass off Pot Noodle as nouvelle cuisine to a room full of chefs. …
