Breda in United Euro Tie Frenzy

Nac breda are ready to roll out the red carpet when Newcastle United visit Holland in the UEFA Cup next month, (writes ALAN OLIVER).

United take on the Dutch side at St James' Park in the first leg of their first-round tie a week on Wednesday and then go to Holland for the second leg on October 15.

The tie hasn't exactly whetted the appetite of the Toon Army after last season's Champions League adventures to the likes of Milan, Turin and Barcelona.

But the town of Breda has been in a frenzy since the draw was made.

And with United only likely to receive 1,000 tickets for the 16,500 capacity stadium, Breda are putting up a giant screen in their town centre for any of the travelling Toon Army who are unable to get tickets.

Martijn Mureau, editor of the NAC Breda Fanzine DE Rat, says: "We want to organise this party both for our fans and the Newcastle supporters. …
