Hit Man Craig Has Highbury Score to Settle

Craig Bellamy is hoping to carry on at Arsenal tonight where he left off against Breda at St James' Park on Wednesday night, (writes Alan Oliver).

The Newcastle United striker is on a high after his two goals against the Dutch outfit.

But he has a score to settle with Arsenal after being sent off on his last visit to Highbury, having missed last season's 1-0 defeat because of injury.

In an unforgettable game at Highbury in December 2001, Gunners left-back Ashley Cole went down as though he had been hit by a sniper's bullet after hardly any contact from Bellamy as United beat Arsenal 3-1.

Bellamy's red card was rightly wiped off by the FA and he is able to joke today: "I wouldn't mind a repeat of that night, with us winning and me being sent off as long it was again rescinded."

But he was more serious when he added: "This is the sharpest I have felt for some time and I am looking forward to tonight and hoping I will be selected. …
