Question: Just how much do you dislike your hometown of Shreveport, La.?

Answer: A lot. I'm not a gambler [Shreveport is home to numerous casinos], and it's not a place where I want to raise my kids. I was eager to get away from there, and Florida is the perfect place for me.

Q: You and new Jaguars teammate Fernando Bryant had numerous on-field run-ins when you were at Louisiana Tech and he was at Alabama, and your first couple of years in the NFL. Admit it: You two still don't like each other, do you?

A: No, Fernando and I are cool. We're still going to go at each other the same way in practice now that we did in college and in the pros. Fernando got in my pocket a couple of times [for fines because of plays when Edwards was in Pittsburgh], but we don't hate each other. We always wished each other luck before and after games.

Q: You spent two years in Pittsburgh as a member of the Steelers. Ever want to see snow again? …
