Andy Griffin is hoping Newcastle United can pick up from where they left off before the international break.

The full-back is likely to be back in the side for tonight's match against NAC Breda having been one of the few players not away on international duty.

Griffin and team-mate Aaron Hughes have been fighting it out over the right-back slot all season and the tough-tackling former Stoke City defender is well-rested, while Hughes has been away with Northern Ireland.

And the 24-year-old Griffin says United must not take their foot off the pedal, especially since fans saw a glimpse of the Newcastle of old in the first leg when they ran out 5-0 winners.

"As we're 5-0 up in the first leg we could only shoot ourselves in the foot, really, but at the same time we'll treat it as a 0-0 and a game we've got to win," said Griffin. …
