* DIAS DE MUERTOS: DAY OF THE DEAD FIREWORK DISPLAY This Mexican-themed festival isn't quite so sombre as it sounds. Mexican custom dictates that on this day offerings of food and drink are made to the dead, and fireworks displays, large skeletons and skulls are used to decorate shops, public buildings and houses. In Victoria Park, the festival will take the form of a huge, spectacular bonfire in the shape of a Pearly King skeleton to be brought to life at 8pm with a mixture of performance, music and fireworks that leads up to a fantastic aerial display.

Everyone is encouraged to dress up and there's a funfair on site that opens at 5pm.
