CVS/pharmacy intends to develop its fourth area Jacksonville store in the San Jose area.

CVS Corp., based in Woonsocket, R.I., opened its first two area stores a year ago in the Arlington area: one at University Boulevard and Merrill Road and the other at Atlantic Boulevard and Arlington Road. The third store is under construction at southeast University Boulevard at Terry Road.

BHR Inc. of Jacksonville is the project engineer for CVS/pharmacy.

Plans show the San Jose pharmacy will be 14,570 square feet, which includes a mezzanine. Zaremba Contractors LLC, also of Lakewood, Ohio, is listed as the contractor.

The San Jose site is next to the World Gym under development by Solomon Properties Inc.

CVS, which originally stood for Consumer Value Store, sells prescriptions, photo processing services, food and hair, skin and bath products. The 40-year-old chain operates about 4,150 stores in 32 states, including about 70 in Florida.

Armor makes security equipment and products for law enforcement and military uses.
