Florida center Mike Degory vs. FSU nose tackle Jeff Womble: If Florida is going to run the ball, then the Gators are going to have to move Womble, a 6-foot-3, 306-pounder who has 37 tackles, five tackles for loss and eight quarterback hurries. FSU's linebackers are too fast for Florida to try and run wide. If Degory can get a push on Womble, that should give Ciatrick Fason (right), DeShawn Wynn or Ran Carthon a little bit of room.


Florida 17, Florida State 13, Nov. 29, 1986: At Doak Campbell Stadium, Florida's Louis Oliver blocked Derek Schmidt's 46-yard field-goal attempt late in the fourth quarter, sparking UF's come-from-behind win. QB Kerwin Bell found receiver Ricky Nattiel for an 18-yard, game-winning TD pass with 3:50 remaining. It was the last time UF won in Tallahassee. The game was played on a muddy field that got progressively worse because of a near-steady rain.
