Quite what Kenny Cummins would make of his daughter Diane as naked pin-up, she's not sure.

"I think he'd find it really funny," says 38-year-old Diane - also known as Miss April in the bare-all calendar posed by staff from the Lloyds TSB branch in Albert Road, Middlesbrough.

She appears naked, her modesty covered with plastic money bags!

She thinks Dad would approve. Kenny had a sense of humour and he's the inspiration for the naughty-but-nice charity calendar that's dedicated to him and aims to raise money for Teesside hospice.

That's where Kenny spent some of his days before he died from cancer earlier this year.

The place was a godsend for Diane and her mum while Kenny was ill.

He would go there every Monday to the day care unit while Diane and her mum could get out and about on their own and have a breather from the emotionally tough times they spent caring for Kenny.

"It wasn't until afterwards that we really realised and appreciated what a special place the Hospice is," says Diane.

So she set about finding some way to show her appreciation.

Getting your clothes off doesn't seem the obvious one but she had the germ of the idea having seen the movie Calendar Girls and after that it was simply a question of persuading her colleagues to agree!

Easier said than done of course.

Just like in the movie when Helen Mirren's character persuades the WI members to bare all, Diane had a job to do.

On a girls' night out she put forward the idea.

"I don't usually drink but after a couple of drinks I said let's do it!

"They thought I was mad...didn't believe I really meant it, but then they were all up for it," says Diane.

Many of her colleagues had been touched by cancer in their lives and the fact that the bank's chosen charity was Help the Hospices made it all the more appropriate. …
