Educating Keira

Great excitement at Oxford Brookes University over rumours that Keira Knightley (left) is to enrol as a student this autumn. In 2002, the 18-year-old had to abandon her A-level studies to take part in Doctor Zhivago and she went on to star last year in Pirates of the Caribbean and Love Actually. If the rumours are true, the young starlet will one day be able to claim to be 'Oxford-educated' as well. What a girl.

No amour lost

No love lost between Bond Girl Sophie Marceau and her ex-husband, director Andrzej Zulawski, who has just published a new book called Infidelity.

'The word actress makes me feel sick,' he says. When asked whether Marceau had read the book, he replies: 'Why do you ask that? She's a French actress who seems condemned to be in mediocre films, so why not ask me about someone else?'

The art of networking

You'd have thought Madonna (right) and Stella McCartney (left) would have enough to talk about when they meet for lunch. At Assaggi in Bayswater on Friday, onlookers were startled to discover that the pair spent a lot of the meal comparing and discussing their mobile phones. Who came out on top - Nokia or Virgin? My lips are sealed.

What's it worth, Sir Richard?

Bon Voyage

Peace has broken out in fashion's most famous battle: Naomi Campbell vs Voyage, the Mazzilli family's London boutique.

Campbell was famously banned from the shop for shouting at Tatum Mazzilli (left, with brother Rocky) after waiting to be served for a full ten minutes.

Now, though, they've kissed and made up. 'We bumped into each other during Milan Fashion Week and said, "Hi,"' enthuses Naomi. 'Then Tatum sent me a black parka with a fluorescent yellow hood for Christmas.' 'I've made it my New Year's resolution to forgive and forget. So I sent her the coat,' adds Tatum.

They're even discussing working together this year. The entente cordiale lives on.
