Kids 1st Day Nurseries has appointed its first two managers for the new nurseries that are currently being built on the grounds of North Tyneside and Wansbeck hospitals.

Both nurseries are nearing completion and will cater for up to 112 full and part-time children in three separate age groups.

Carole Robinson will be the new manager at North Tyneside and Sue Charlton will be in charge at Wansbeck.

"I'm absolutely thrilled we've appointed both Carole and Sue," said area manager Allison Winship.

"They're exactly what we're looking for at Kids 1st.

"They're both highly experienced nursery managers who are totally committed to delivering high quality childcare.

"I'm really looking forward to working with them and I know we'll make quite a formidable team."

Both Carole and Sue trained at North Tyneside some years ago and started their careers working within the region's local authorities.

For the past 10 years Carole has been manager at a private nursery in Blaydon having set it up from the beginning. …
