Wolviston will have to shake off the rust as they play their first game of the year away at lowly Washington Nissan UK.

The frustrated Villagers have been left kicking their heels since New Year with three successive games being washed out.

They have lost ground in the league so their first visit to the new boys is crucial if they are to kick start a stuttering season.

But the break has given them chance to get some key players back. Full-back Gareth Richardson has served his ban while striker Andy Steele and midfielder David Dowd are fit again.

Form suggests the Villagers will be the favourites. Wolviston have won four out of five - the defeat was away at table-toppers North Shields - while second bottom Nissan have struggled in their debut season and have shipped 86 goals in their 20 games so far.

Stokesley are also looking to make up lost ground as they go to Harton and Westoe.

The former table-toppers have slipped to third after their first defeat in 13 - a 2-1 home reverse to Barnard Castle - was followed by a week away on cup duty. …
